Today was the opening day of Intersec 2016 which is widely held as the largest security sector-related exhibition in the Middle East where advanced surveillance technologies are showcased. It is important for KEDACOM to be at the helm of innovative IP-based video solutions in the region, therefore the company participated in this show.

The KEDACOM highlight for the event were the Recognitive Camera and Recognitive NVR which have embedded intelligent algorithms that enable them to detect moving objects and distinguish between people and cars. Objects can further be searched from videos stored in the Recognitive NVR using their essential characteristics such as object type, size, color, speed and direction of movement.

The Recognitive NVR, NVR2881-HDI, also comes with Video Synopsis functionality. Depending upon the search criteria, It is capable of extracting snapshots of key moments from a lengthy video stored in it thus summarising it to form a sequential pictorial comprising a few minutes in contrast to the original which might take a few hours to watch. In this way, it takes lesser time to review the video and save associated manpower costs.

With the convergence of key technologies such as 4K and H.265, an integrated IP video solutions-centered view is being fostered; These solutions offer HD quality video monitoring capability from a central location using a Video Management System (VMS).

The KEDACOM VMS allows for up to 64 streams simultaneously live viewed, recorded and played back. It is also possible for users to gain access based on their authorization level, hence video data can be accessed by a central and sub-command center/s simultaneously.
